1.
Big summer skies - long summer nights with nothing to do - drown in all that innocence - who knew how impermanent it'd be - late summer drives - big starry skies - they blind your eyes - who knew where our lives would go - or which dreams or which people to hold on to - big summer skies - late summer nights - feel the breeze blowing gently through your hair - close your eyes i'll find you there in a dream - and now it seems - like it was all a dream - another life - another time - another me - but i was there - that was me - big summer skies - late summer nights - soak up all that innocence - who knows how impermanent it might be.
2.
Light won't light - machine won't go - i don't see why it really matters anymore - the day is night - the darkest day i can remember in my life - what's the use - it's all been said - it's all been done - it's old news - but there's a light somewhere - that gives me hope - anchor my breath and move forward - and i keep aiming for the other side - with a light that just won't light - on a road that just won't go - where i need to be - but there's a spirit in the air - telling me i can still get there - that maybe living on a prayer is still a life - light won't light - no need to go - anchor my breath - anchor my bones.

Romper 03:32
we sprang - awake - about six hours late - the daybreak was already happening - she said to me - i miss you in my dreams - i said to her - it's all been such a blur - in just one more night - we'll be alright
4.
i don't need to be the reason - but i don't want to be the cause - i think your journey for the answers is more a quest to go get lost - i think you're drowning in your sorrows as a means to pass the time - but when you encounter tomorrow - you'll need to read between the lines - i don't know why you choose this life - when you wake up in the morning you'll say that time, he is a thief - he's robbed you of your will and purpose as you wallowed in your sleep - and as you lay there still and hopeless - there's still a fire that burns inside - despite your attempts to keep them dormant - there's still a light within your eyes - i don't know why you choose this life - the embrace of sweet surrender - like melding knives in easing sun - effortless in all of it's splendor - assuring you that the battle has begun - as you cling to the life you once knew - you'll need to learn to walk the line - as you rewrite your own story you also write the end of mine - i don't know why you choose this life
5.
mind over matter - peace of mind is key - shaking off hallucinations - you get the best of me - tell again, why do i do this - talk is cheap - actions say no words - mind is blown - don't mind me - i talk when i'm awake - i talk when i'm asleep - tell me again, why do i do this?
6.
there are mysteries and legends - they've stood the test of time - their stories live forever - if only in our minds - we keep them like a secret - nobody needs to know - we hide them in the places - no one ever goes - if you make up your mind, i'll make up mine - there's a ghost that lives in me - she comes to life as i'm asleep - she comes in peace and she brings love - if you make up your mind, i'll make up mine.
7.
once, i was a spider on the wall - once, i was a trusted voice you'd call - once, i was a future in which you believed - once, it was less of a mystery - once, i saw the fire in your eyes - once, i heard the passion in your cries - once, i saw nothing at all - then, i saw the writing on the wall - where would you like me to go? i don't know.
